Flea/tick treatment for 8 pound dog
Q: We have a year old chihuahua and he is about 8 pounds (7.70 lbs back in 08/03). we are looking at getting frontline plus and was wondering if it would be ok to get the small dog dosage for him. we also have a 24 pound pug we want to get on frontline plus as well but know which dosage to get him. what would you recommend? thanks. :-)
A: We cannot recommend using a product in a manner that contradicts the labeled instructions; therefore you would have to use the frontline topspot item #3088 on the chihuahua. for the pug, the frontline plus medium would be fine.(item 10458)
Shop for: frontline, frontline plus, frontline topspot

Dogs caky
Q: I need to know why my dog eat it own caky, i want your opinion, i think that this is not normal thank you, maria
A: Consumption of feces (coprophagia) is a common but disturbing habit in dogs. the cause of this behavior is unknown, but this product is formulated to stop this. it is called "deter" and you can get information about it on our website.

Red odoriferous ear and vomiting
Q: My 5 mo. golden pup had a really red ear with dark spots on it and a bad odor. i started cleaning it with alcohol and treating it with nystatin/neo/etc... which cleared up the ear problem. this similar ear problem occurs frequently in my 12 year old golden, and i always use the nystatin. is this correct, or should i be using something else? i've seen lots of products on here and i don't know what the ear problem is exactly, but the nystatin and alcohol seems to work. also, my 12 year old retriever never gets sick with the ear infections, but my puppy vomited for 12 hours. could this possibly be correlated to the red, odoriferous ear? thank you so much!
A: The choice of medicines would depend upon what is growing in ear i.e. some dogs have mainly bacteria while others have yeast. i would have culture done at your vet to check what is growing so that best med can be chosen. what you are using is fine temporarily. also vomiting not related to ear

Guarentee
Q: If i buy by hw prevention from you guys - who pays for treatment if my dog still gets heartworm disease. my friend bought sentinal from you guys and novartis says that they won't pay for the treatment because you guys get your meds illegaly. so who is going to pay for this dogs treatment? do you back to product or does the manufacturer?
A: We have an unconditional guarantee on every product we sell. you can see it on our website or in our catalog. we get our products from licensed distributors and not "illegally"! |because we don't buy directly from the manufacturer they don't give us their guarantee, but we give you ours.

Red dog
Q: Need to known if flea & tick dip is still avalible on the market , and if so were can i get a bottle to rid the problum . my vet tells me it's not used anymore. thanks
A: We do carry a product called paramite dip which will kill fleas, brown dog ticks, and clears sarcotic mange. the effect will last for about 2 weeks. most people today do not want to go through the process every 2 weeks and use monthly easy applications of products like frontline plus.
